A good "systemic racism 101" movie to watch with others and discuss in groups. Since I taught US History 1850-1960, I was familiar with much of the material. The fact that Frances Causey is a descendant of the man who wrote white supremacy language into the Virginia constitution is refreshing for a southern woman of privilege to look back retrospectively at her family's history of slavery. It is very well done with pertinent images of vintage pictures, movie and audio clips, and prominent black professor lend credence to the film. Two thumbs up!!!
