Well-acted with stunning cinematography, The Love That Remains is both emotionally astute and stubbornly mysterious, a complete original to be experienced rather than consumed. Go to Full Review

It plays out with remarkable intuition and sensitivity about its troubled characters, ones who try to love and reckon with hard feelings when those endeavors don’t work out, and you have to sift through the rubble to find meaning Go to Full Review

I kept smiling watching this fractured family drama. A bizarre reaction for an Icelandic movie about the end of a marriage. But it’s the high spirits that stay with you in Hlynur Pálmason's charmer about the intangibles of love. Go to Full Review

Pálmason’s vision might have been clarified with more thought put into the film’s cinematography and a heavier hand in the editing room. Go to Full Review

daniel l @Dliebo 8h I am posting this as a favor to the human race and anyone who reads this. I enjoy going to the movies and try and find something to enjoy even if I am not in love with one. This movie is a complete and utter waste of time and money. A set of disjointed scenes meant to fill 90 minutes, void of any plot whatsoever, nothing emotionally tugging, just pretentious and horrible movie making at its worse. Scene after scene with nothing building, nothing notable, nothing connected or connecting, and it becomes seriously annoying after around 15 minutes when u realize that there is nothing even slightly compelling here. Please. Don't bother. See more Read all reviews
