Nick P Terrific movie! Loved the two leads. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Peter G Over hyped and over rated. A cool score and moments of good direction but mostly a generic torture porn film Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review alessandra p I watched this years ago as a teen ans it always stuck in my head. Rewatching it now as an adult and I honestly forgot how insane it was. The gore is stomach turning. The acting absolutely incredible. Such a fucked up and original idea. Aussie horror just doesn't miss. One of my top favs of all time for sure. Even my partner who isn't into gore or horror enjoyed it and it had him hooked. Highly recommend but be warned it is not for the faint of heart. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Timothy P This movie was gross and too disturbing to actually enjoy. Well made and well acted, but I did not enjoy the experience of watching it so I can't recommend it. Also, there was nothing funny in it so not sure what they are talking about when they refer to comedic moments other than if you think a psychopathic murderer is funny Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Tristen M The Loved Ones was absolutely sadistic. It turned the teen horror genre upside down in the most demented way imaginable. It's a blast. 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review Sarah N I'm on an australian horror binge at the mo but Something about this jost didnt interest me in the slightest Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Headed by [Jessica] McNamee as the spurned prom-bomb, [Sean] Byrne's debut feature defines "sick and wrong" in all the right ways. Jan 8, 2018 Full Review Eric D. Snider Film.com Speaking of reusing old premises, The Loved Ones shows the right way to do it. In this outrageously creepy and entertaining. Jan 8, 2018 Full Review Eric Kohn indieWire It's a terrifying masterpiece that turns high school drama into a literal dead zone. Jan 8, 2013 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh A vicious and brutal reinvention of a familiar premise that teases a lot more from the minds behind the project, even if it never quite sticks the landing. Rated: 3/5 Sep 22, 2023 Full Review Kristy Strouse Wonderfully Weird and Horrifying Some of the actions feel a bit repetitive, but through surprising and shocking turns, and dedicated performances The Loved Ones is a darkly comic and twisted horror gem. Oct 28, 2022 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast Compelling Misery-esque tale with a lead fantastic performance from Robin McLeavy. The violence hits especially hard, but at just 79 minutes it's a bit too thin. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 30, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
