steve d Unintentionally funny. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Run of the mill horror film with a murderer killing members of the high school majorettes team amid plenty of red herrings. Majorettes coach tells the girls college isn't everything but maybe practice is as it continues despite the loss of team members. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A killer stalks the high profile high school majorette squad one by one. Watchably routine 80s horror that lacks imagination or suspense. Steers off-course for a while in a revenge subplot and I'm not convinced many of these majorettes can actually twirl a baton at all. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member So bad it's almost good. This late 80s slasher flick (there sure were a lot of those, considering the sub-genre peaked in the early 80s) has a few Night of the Living Dead alumni involved. Turns into a crime/action/thriller late in the game, and ends lamely. Features some of the worst acting you'll ever see, and generous amounts of female nudity. Proceed at your own risk, and with expectations low. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhat enjoyable as as a terrible film, The Majorettes is a truly awful slasher film that features copious nudity, which does little to make up for its lack of plot, uninspired death scenes, terrible acting, and total absence of scares. Abominable on every level yet still entertaining for those who love awful slasher flicks. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay, so here's my initial feelings on the first time watch: "This gets an extra half star for some assorted nudity, but on the whole it's a rather wasted endeavor, as it wastes most of the death scenes due to poor editing. The plot gets bizarrely complicated with a peeping tom janitor and a gang who are ratted out to the cops by one of our characters, building to a strangely action oriented ending instead of something more akin to the normal horror film." Having given it a second look I would have to bump my rating my a full star on the second viewing, just because it gets so fucking weird in the latter half, which is immensely entertaining. Rental? A cautious rental? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
