In the process of merging formulas, "The Map of Tiny Perfect Things" recycles the same material it seems inclined to rejuvenate, one step at a time. Go to Full Review

Kathryn Newton and Kyle Allen do have some very good chemistry together, and yes they do acknowledge Groundhog Day. Go to Full Review

Sophie M Oct 13 Super sweet movie, lovely chemistry between the two mains. This is a sweet snuggly film and super easy to watch!! See more BadNews R @TheMovieSearch Sep 11 Every once in a while, a movie comes along that takes a familiar concept and puts just enough charm into it to feel fresh. The Map of Tiny Perfect Things is one of those movies. At its core, it’s about a teenager stuck in an endless time loop—reliving the same day over and over again, never able to move forward. For most people, that would be a nightmare. But instead of giving in to the frustration, this character finds joy in the repetition. What makes it so fun is the way he embraces the absurdity of his situation. Since he already knows what’s going to happen, he uses his “psychic” knowledge to make people’s days better—helping someone avoid a fall, guiding someone who’s lost, or simply adding a spark of happiness to otherwise ordinary moments. Rather than losing his mind, he finds little ways to make each repeated day meaningful, and it’s honestly iconic to watch. The story takes an even more interesting turn when he discovers he’s not the only one stuck in the loop. A girl is experiencing the exact same phenomenon, and suddenly, he has someone who understands what he’s going through. Together, they begin to explore the possibilities of their shared situation, and in the process, a love story naturally unfolds. Their bond feels sweet and earned, and while not every moment of the movie lands perfectly, their connection really sells the heart of the film. Yes, there are a few moments of questionable pacing, and the movie doesn’t always push its time-loop concept as far as it could. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a genuinely fun, heartwarming film with a unique spin on romance. Verdict: The Map of Tiny Perfect Things might not reinvent the wheel, but it delivers a charming, clever, and surprisingly touching story. It’s cute, creative, and worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a lighthearted love story with a sci-fi twist. See more Paul E @PassoutTomatoes May 26 A bit slow but worth it. See more Dan J @mndj5 May 5 What a charming little film! You get a right mix of rom com, an overarching mystery, and a fresh take on the groundhog day plot structure. I just really really enjoyed the watch as it blew my expectations away. I suppose what I really enjoyed was that there is a real groundedness in how the characters enjoyed the day to day life. That spirit is delivered with lightness and relatability. Highly recommend it.
