A sophomoric film packed with creaky humor, hip film-insider lingo, and plenty of Herzog references. Go to Full Review

[Moez] Solis forgot... to explain [the film's] complicated plot so that it can finally reach the depth that it seems that its creator was looking for. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

09/08/2021 Driven by an engaging lead character, this modest indie feature presents an arty meta narrative full of ideas. Would recommend to people interested in the artistic process. See more 06/14/2021 The idea that you must do anything to get your film made. Including all the hardships between the producers, directors, crew members, and actors. Using what seems to be gibberish but for all of the that understand even the littlest bit of film mumbo jumbo then you can understand most of what they are getting at in this film Reminds me of a film called Man Under Table, where the film is all about a person's view on the indie film industry in LA. This feels like the same type of commentary but less about the surrealism. I would love to have other film students watch this and see what they think. See more 05/02/2021 Lower budget film but with decent performances, cool locations and a good message about pursuing one's art despite the vagaries of commerce. If you want a studio film, look elsewhere, but if you like scrappy indies with heart, watch this one. See more 04/29/2021 Maybe I a bit dark.. but this thriller by Moez Solis is a must-see! Made my Sunday night! Highly recommended! See more 02/08/2021 The Mentor is an excellent indie film that entertains and challenges. Moez Solis delivers a unique blend of comedy and suspense and is certainly an extremely creative director. Top-notch performances by Brandi Nicole Payne and Liz Sklar. Highly recommended! See more 12/16/2020 This was an entertaining, zany indie flick. Lot of unpredictable movements, which kept you interested. Sometimes felt as though it were indulging a bit too much in its self-referentiality, but overall an interesting satire. See more Read all reviews
