Boss Lung (Ko Hung) knows that someone in the Hong Kong Triad wants him dead. After a botched assassination nearly takes his life, he orders his right-hand man to recruit a group of expert bodyguards (Anthony Wong, Francis Ng, Roy Cheung, Lam Suet, Jackie Lui) to protect him from any further attacks. The hired gunmen quickly form a brotherhood, but their loyalty is tested when Lung discovers that one of them is having an affair with his wife, and he orders the others to kill him.

The story of bodyguards protecting a triad boss is the whole script in a few words. The directing is very good as usual and the usual To's cast is at the rendez-vous. Very nice tale about friendship and Triad world. It's a like it or not movie. Not a must see.

It's a far cry from it's sequel, the masterpiece Exiled, especially when it comes to the terrible, often annoying music. But, To still does a good job of directing and it's a decent shooter.
