Chris S @Medicnco17 Jan 21 Gary Dourdan was the highlight of this film. Brice Bexter delivered a commendable performance, though the script was severely lacking. The film presented a compelling plot, yet left many elements unresolved. Robert Kneeper performed exceptionally well. This movie was poorly directed. I have seemed to manage to find some truly horrendous movies over the last few selections but The Moderator ranks high among the worst of the bunch. This just gets worse in each scene. I kept thinking we were at the worst part a new scene starts and away we go. I had moderate hopes for it. Interesting plot, looked like it had a chance to be worth a watch. But if this saves another person from having to struggle through this calamity, my suffering may have been worth it. Get out...save yourself while you still can. The story had such great potential, but the awful acting, editing and direction made me want to scoop my eyeballs out with a spoon. Some of the fight scenes for example, lacked continuity from scene to scene, amateur stuff. Acting, outfit choice, flow, story - all lacking. The footage quality was good and the scenery picturesque, it could have been great. See more 08/08/2022 Sadly, I will admit, I watched it to the end, hoping it would get better. Aside from the horrendous acting, the story was hard to follow, and the plot remains a mystery. The cinematography was not terrible, but I recognized plenty of stock footage from other low-budget films, and the colour grading was inconsistent.
