corkball This movie was labelled something like 'Frostbite' when I watched it. Any time a film has two or more completely different names, that is a bad sign. Anyway, this film takes place in Fernie BC, where returning hometown lawyer made big in Toronto has to help his friend save his... well, his shack in the woods from evil land developers. Yes, as dumb and derivative as it sounds. And the way they are going to save the shack is with... what else? A semi full of beer. These people are adults. Like in their 20s and 30s. For real. Sigh. There are some mildly amusing scenes, but the whole thing is rather juvenile, and surprisingly bad language for a Canadian flick. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Frostbite aka The Movie Out Here is a Canadian throwback to the 80's sex comedy. The entire genre can be summed up as "small town fish out of water buddy's in trouble let's throw a party to make everything right and figure out life at the same time and we'll have a successful happy ending". Stupid jokes and unpretentious, silly fun. As a bonus, it has Katharine Isabelle in a cute supporting role. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A very stupid funny movie for all us Canadian's. I say RENT IT!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The bad: Canadian movie based on beer is totally unfunny (safe for one scene in a bar), derivative with a story deemed overdone in 1985. The good: Katharine Isabelle Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a funny movie one or to disturbing times as well but still funny a good laugh Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member To say this movie is bad is an understatement. To say this movie is horrible would also be an understatement. Any combination of adjectives that are synonymous with terrible, would barely scratch the surface of the overall description of this movie. The fact that I sat through this entire piece of garbage should be applauded. I pretty much deserve a medal for this feat. If the movie theatre offered to pay me $20 to come back and watch this movie again, I would probably turn them down. If you are considering ever watching this piece of cinematic shit, I highly recommend that you choose not to watch. The acting is bad. The storyline is worse. There was nothing really entertaining, funny, or interesting about this film. You know how some movies are so bad that they kind of end up being good just because it is slightly amusing to watch it and see how much worse it can get? This is not one of those movies. This film deserves 3 thumbs down. I know there's only supposed to be 2 thumbs, but this film warranted a third thumb (my dick can fill in as the extra thumb that's how shitty this film is). I would rate it negative 4 stars out of 5. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
