Audience Member First of let me say that I appraise the entire crew for their courage and dedication. I am a born and raised male muslim from West Africa, I enjoyed the entire movie. Your punch lines were right on key. I laughed so hard that I could not believe myself. You have underlined all the things that muslims go through, and blown all the misconceptions( lol I need to watch out there, they may call me a terrorist). To you Negin, I shared your tears and pain, and I said on your behalf to those females in Jihab: " You don't like the comments, the freedom that you are so afraid? Guess what sweeties, yall lost, even the Koran embraces women emancipation!!!! So why walk away from someo who is fighting on your behalf. What a true definition and example of real American patriotism. Love yall, don't stop guys more of the MUSLIMS ARE COMING PART II Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightful! Not for those who are easily offended by expletives or references to genitalia. I loved it tho and partly because it was so irreverent. It pulls no punches and its humor is efficacious in educating and breaking commonly-held stereotypes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Stellar documentary ~ increasing awareness about intra-American prejudices with comedic excellence :) We're closer to "2020" than the millennium so let's all wake-up as to America's foundation ... & future, which (was) is people emigrating by their ability and free will to do so to this Country! Yes to FREEDOM & worldwide, so that if an American chooses to move to another country just like inverse, it's all good! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A feel-good flick. Not overly-hilarious, not a life-changer, but ok. Creating peace one laugh at a time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Was an interesting concept to educate some American cities about Muslims with the use of humour. On the street conversations were very good, but the standup highlights were not all that funny and took away from the film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member fun lil documentary. Lots of contributions from some great comics. Noah Berlatsky The Atlantic The comics are not especially funny. Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Nick A. Zaino III Boston Globe The film follows a group of Muslim-American comedians on a stand-up-and-public-relations tour who try to win over those skeptical of Muslims, one audience at a time. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 26, 2013 Full Review Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle Supporting commentary comes from the likes of Jon Stewart, Lewis Black, and Rachel Maddow, but the real stars, rightly so, are Farsad and Obeidallah. Sep 26, 2013 Full Review Patrick Felton Battleship Pretension If nothing else, the film acts as a superb calling card and character study for this very singular group of comedians eager make people laugh regardless of race creed or political affiliation. Feb 24, 2021 Full Review Stephen Saito Moveable Fest The Muslims Are Coming achieves what it sets out to accomplish, offering an entrance point for a culture too few know much about in a consistently engaging way. Dec 17, 2018 Full Review Brian Miller Seattle Weekly It's all very admirable, but you may find yourself nodding in agreement more than doubled with laughter.
