After making it to the top of the charts, members of the Silver Boulders, a popular tween rock band, find themselves undermined by internal squabbling as the bandmates seek different creative directions. Singer Nat (Nat Wolff) wants to record a ballad he penned for his girlfriend, Rosalina (Allie DiMeco), while the others are looking for a harder edge to their next hit. Meanwhile, Nat's little brother, drummer Alex (Alex Wolff), battles an addiction to soda, further hurting the band.
