Films On Blast F this film was obviously made for very little money but there's nothing cheap about it. As far as true independent filmmaking goes, this is definitely worth the watch. I wasn't expecting much, as most unknown films in festivals don't amount to much more than a good idea, poorly executed. I could not have been more wrong or pleasantly surprised by this delicate, seemingly vague film, with visual references to his influences, and self-referential insights, that it hit me like a ton of bricks: this film fucking slays! As an avid fan of micro-budget films, I can tell you that I have sloughed through a ton of shit to discover many gems, The Narcissists being one of the more recent discoveries. Felt a bit like a Woody Allen tribute film with the dialogue and the way New York is used as almost a fifth cast member. Well written and doesn't overstay it's welcome.
