      1946 59m Western List
Reviews Gunslinger Tom Kirk (Bob Steele) is searching for the man who killed his adoptive father and the true identities of his biological parents. He rides into the town where the murder took place, but there Sheriff Landon (Edward Cassidy) warns him against vigilantism. This doesn't stop Tom from pursuing poker player Honest John (I. Stanford Jolley), who has the victim's ring. However, when John is shot with the same rare ammo that killed the elder Kirk, Tom realizes the murderer is still at large. Read More Read Less

Audience Member Green money gets blue chips. Tom Kirk was raised by an honest man who was the sheriff of a small western town. Tom's father figure is brutally murdered and as he investigates the crime, he discovers he was adopted and why. Tom doesn't care that he was adopted and ultimately wants revenge for his father's murder. "What do you plan to do?" "Find out who killed the only father I've ever known." Harry Fraser, director of Broadway to Cheyenne, Rustler's Paradise, Last of the Clintons, Ghost Town, Chained for Life, Three in the Saddle, and Lure of the Wasteland, delivers Navajo Kid. The storyline for this picture is very straightforward and just okay. The subplots are also mediocre as is the acting. The cast includes Bob Steele, Charles King, I. Stanford Jolley, and Syd Saylor. "I don't deal from the bottom of the deck..." This was recommended to me by Fios so I DVR'd it off cable. This was just okay and really only worth watching for diehard fans of the western genre. I wouldn't go too out of my way to see this. "Let's go and don't try any of your fancy Indian tricks." Grade: C Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
