Jordan S This film is BEAUTIFUL! It is chock-full of information about some very interesting women! The overall atmosphere is great as it is easy to watch and filled with a topic that is not talked about very often. I would recommend this film to anyone interested in the Arts. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/25 Full Review Jennifer E Loved this doc. From the historical artifacts to the personal story of these the sisters it really is a remarkable tale of resilience! Do watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/29/25 Full Review Jessica Y This documentary is a must-see for anyone who appreciates vintage lore, old-timey showgirls, and Jewish cultural history. I was initially drawn to the film because of my love for burlesque and tales of the stage, but the story of Nita and Zita offers something for everyone. The Nita & Zita Project follows two “unknown” sisters of Hungarian-Jewish descent, tracing their journey from the shtetl to the stage. It will appeal equally to those fascinated by Jewish history and to those intrigued by the world of burlesque performers. For a relatively short film, it packs in a lot—art (both performative and visual), culture, history, friendship, and family all shine through. (And for visual arts lovers, the costumes and the eccentrically decorated home Nita and Zita lived in will make you gasp!) What touched me most is how these women—who may have once been overlooked—now have their legacy honored and celebrated. I imagine they’d be flattered to see their lives receiving this much-deserved recognition, thanks to this beautiful film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/21/25 Full Review Amy B. Love love love this film! As a performer myself, I immediately felt connected to Nita & Zita…as well as the many other artists represented in the film. It’s beautiful to learn so much about the history of an art form I’m so passionate about. The film is full of heart, determination, and sisterhood with sprinkles of magic. It’s a definite must-watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/25 Full Review lgschott95 An inspiring story following two sisters pursuing the arts at any costs and exploring the impact of their work across time and space. Extremely fun and told through a brilliant lens. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review Emily R Every artist / art lover must watch this ode to creativity, scrappiness, and sisterhood.
