Michael (Chris Haywood) is an impoverished man who takes care of his brothers while struggling to stay financially afloat. Suspicious that his uncle George (Norman Kaye) may have swindled him out of his inheritance, Michael decides to do something drastic: kidnap George's granddaughter. Michael and his brothers set out to snatch just her, but also abduct her aunt Lucy (Gosia Dobrowolska), a nun. A strange relationship starts to grow between Michael and his religious hostage.
