James H The only thing that made this even slightly tolerable was the performance of Tom Courtenay. The Disneyfication of Charles Dickens is contradictory. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Dickens certainly can be very good and always has some real nasty baddies in his work?the only criticism I have is that his stuff is terribly long and drawn out. This one suffers from going on and on and also is a bit fuzzy looking. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Lovely frama about the loss of wealth by an gambler which causes the death of his grandchild, Very sad ending. On par with Litle Dorrit. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale "The Old Curiosity Shop" written in 1814. I actually watched the BBC Television Version (2007) starring Sophie Vavasseur, Sir Derek Jacobi, & Toby Jones. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautifully filmed televised version Dickens novel. The actors and the settings hit all the right notes. On a side-note, have a tissue in hand when watching this. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
