Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Brings to mind the old song "Torn Between Two Lovers." This movie is complex and confusing but still intriguing. Rated: 4/10 Jan 14, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall There's a dreamy tone to this artful drama. Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2021 Full Review Peter Gray This is Film May not impress with its ambiguous nature but at least makes a mark as a project of experimental nature. Jan 6, 2021 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Philadelphia Gay News The dialogue is largely risible, and the acting ranges from shrill (Fraiser) to stilted (Koorzen and Harwood). Like the stranger who is mostly trapped in the house, this excruciating film goes nowhere slowly. Dec 31, 2020 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT The movie tells a touching LGBTQ love story thanks to its dream like look and emotive performances. The thriller aspects of the story are lacking, however. Dec 28, 2020 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee The nameless characters deliver sparse, cryptic dialogue that writer/director/star/editor/costume designer/production designer Drew Harwood clearly thinks is profound. Audience Member For the viewer there may be more than one interpretation of The One You Feed....I watched it 2x and confirmed my own thoughts of the storyline and plot. The lack of dialogue adds to the mystique and allows for the viewer to create his own story in his or her mind. The soundtrack and the cinematography are very good and I did find some humor in some of the lines/scenes - whether intentional or not it was not out of context. The inter-relationships between man, woman and stranger I found interesting and ending dialogue between man and woman took me by surprise. For a lower-budget indie I think the cast/director/producers made an awesome film.
