Audience Member I appreciated the sort of creepy stylishness of this film, and I also appreciated Dominique Blanc's performance, but this movie is kind of one-note downer about a woman's madness, and as such I can't say that watching it was a particularly pleasant experience. The director seemed to want to let us share in Anne-Marie's madness by presenting to the viewer a slightly out-of-kilter reality, giving us a mildly detached tone in the film (helped along by the lack of any back story regarding the people Anne-Marie interacts with, along with the occasional moments of visual surrealism, and a creepy musical score). I felt that the movie accomplished what it was setting out to do, but for me, I just didn't feel particularly invested in the story.
