Synopsis
Winner of the National Film Board of Canada's Best Cultural Documentary Award, this film is a reflection on how human beings define themselves by the things they leave behind. Director Donald McWilliams interweaves threads of historical footage and personal mementos with interviews and expressions of spoken word from a wide variety of sources. The results challenge viewers to ponder how the things we cherish in the present fit into the larger continuum of the past and the future.
