Kyle M Any documentary that provides enriching insights under film study tends to contribute onto perceived entertainment values with another considerable angle. Slavoj Zizek, though have yet to see his preceding lecture displaying his psychoanalytic skills towards cinema in general, narrowed his focus towards portrayed ideology, a topic he greatly elaborates on and compellingly connects with our experienced grasps. His arguments are precise, well-structured throughout, and vocally volumed akin to how Werner Herzog passionately approaches examining a subject. Though not quite thorough as there are counterarguments that been raised as additional contexts to what he clearly pointed out with couple angles missed, which expresses how this documentary may not exactly be mutually agree on, especially when he strayed into politics that honestly lowers any sort of captivated engagement. But overall, it intrigues then fascinates, and heightens the compelling psychoanalytic perspective previously laid out in the unseen predecessor. (B+) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The problem with Zizek is not that he is too committed to repetitive linguistic constructions *touches nose* but that they are not repetitive enough *sniffles* Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Slavoj es una persona inteligente, de la que se puede aprender. Este film me hizo pensar sobre varios aspectos de nuestra sociedad, vale la pena verlo! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member 3.8/5 The intrusion of psychoanalysis is thankfully not as present as it was in his previous film, making for a significantly more applicable and understandable look at the concept of ideology with the help of film and audiovisual material that connects fiction with reality beautifully. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent lecture, chopped down to digestible chunks thanks to crafty editing and use of film footage. Fiennes does a great job of adding deadpan humor that seems to fit Zizek's journeys into ideology perfectly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Easier to understand the second time around. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
