tim m 01/13/2023 I honestly had no idea what to expect when I started to watch this and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! In an age of binge-able streaming shows, "The Pining" manages to have a solid first chapter to a story that could have many sequels. The story is actually two story lines; the group therapy characters who are hunted down by a demon that jumps from body to body and the detectives who are investigating the murders, that converge into each other by the end. It is clear that this film is only the beginning of a series of films that will up the ante on the body count and the extent that the detectives will have to go in order to stop the demonic spirit.
