Though it is supposed to be a sequel to the 2014 movie The Pirates, you can still enjoy without watching it, but, that film is fun to watch too, therefore consider it as a recommendation, if you have not seen it yet. Coming back to the movie, as you can expect it's a fun filled adventure comedy, with a pinch of romance in it. Some films helps you to escape from the harsh realities of life, some people use films as a hiding place, I am one of them. This film can give you 2 hours hide from life, just like a journey. Suggested for those Korean film lovers out there. See more derek l 02/10/2023 Whilst The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure does have decent performances from Han Hyo Joo and Kang Ha Neul, the film does have several issues in terms of its uneven pacing, chaotic editing, characters that could had more screentime, its script could had done with a bit more polish to build upon and the humour doesn't always quite land. Sim Nota: 8 See more paul b 07/01/2022 All things considered this is an enjoyable-ish, batshit wacky/borderline stupid pirate chopsocky story. The sets and costumes are terrific but the pacing gets muddled along the way with odd jumps in the timeline that will leave you scratching your head until you piece the WTF together a few scenes later. One odd thing my ears didn't really appreciate was that the actors were literally screaming for 2/3 of the movie, not a lot of subtlety in their deliveries and I'm not sure why it's supposed to be funny.
