Two distant cousins who've never met -- one in NYC, the other in the smallest town there is in Ireland -- come together to finally put an end to a generations-long family feud. It doesn't go well. The Problem With People, set in beautifully lush Irish countryside, is a heartwarming comedy about family, world peace... and sheep.

Claudia Puig FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's ostensibly a comedy, but I don't think I ever laughed. Nov 4, 2024 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian The script is co-written by the American actor Paul Reiser, with a very broad sense of humour, though it’s likable enough. Colm Meaney is also on decent form as undertaker Ciáran. Rated: 3/5 Nov 4, 2024 Full Review Murtada Elfadl Variety While the comedic script... favors stereotypes to specificity, director Chris Cottam keeps the rhythm humming nicely enough for its 100-minute running time for the film to be mildly amusing. Oct 4, 2024 Full Review Sean McGeady Radio Times A tourist-board tale painted in broad strokes, The Problem with People is sentimental, but likeable all the same. Rated: 3/5 Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Hilary A White Sunday Independent (Ireland) ... A harmless bit of oirish frippery that makes good use of two veteran character actors. Rated: 3/5 Nov 18, 2024 Full Review Alan Corr RTÉ (Ireland) ... In the end, the problem with The Problem with People is that it stumbles far too often into Paddywhackery. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 9, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Fran C Really bad. Cliché ridden. Sheep walking the streets in an Irish town in 2022, rubbish. The central character drives a 40 year old car for no obvious reason, other than "it's Ireland sure begorra". The whole town is amazed by the American. Most seem to have never met am American before. Such lazy tripe. I want my money back. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Patrick G It was a easy, gentle and promising start, until the funeral and for some reason the 'yank' was directed to sob out loud. This was I'm guessing trying to make us believe that a connection had been made in a few days with the old relative which would explain the will. It didn't and the premise for the rivalry between the cousins there after just lost its way. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Audience Member Great performances, love the world created, amazing feel good film ! Must see ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Katherine G Such a cute movie. Actors are fantastic. Interesting plot. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Read all reviews
