I had high hopes for this moview, but got bitterly disappointed. The movie indulges in the most inane stereotyping and lacks any element of surprise. Stock characters and plot line. I would not recommend it unless it is the only dvd left and we are in the ww3. Movies of this nature should not be made. Too embarrassing.

It was a pleasant way to pass 2 hours. There were a few chuckles. It reminded me of The Fockers and The Thing About My Folks. If you are at all religious probably be offended.

It's as funny as anything else out there at the moment. It's harmless and entertaining in an honest way. Meaney carries it with his typical likeable role . It won't have you in stitches but it won't leave you disappointed either.

I read all the reviews and still decided that I would give it a chance. A.N.D.... I absolutely LOVED it. A simple romp.. The Irish personality / craftiness came through, unexpected situations. Expected humour, and still good to giggle at.. not full on laugh. I left the theatre with a smile on my face and a nice big sighhhh.... This is a Sunday afternoon, rainy day, have a good old snuggle down and enjoy. I'd watch it again.

I was hopeful this would be another delightful Irish movie that would have me in stitches, but at best it had only a few mildly amusing moments. Disappointing really. Bland predictable script and no edge. Irish movies such as 'Waking Ned Devine' have set a high bar, but this was well below.
