Synopsis
Disgusted with the increasingly elaborate technology of filmmaking, in 1995 Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier announces his commitment to Dogme 95, a movement to strip movies of artifice by avoiding lighting, sets and similar tools. In 2001, documentarian Jesper Jargil gathers von Trier and three other directors who shot their films according to the Dogme rules to watch his behind-the-scenes footage of their productions, discussing how they both obeyed and broke their own rules.
