Bilge Ebiri New York Magazine/Vulture Should be required viewing for all of today's Hollywood franchise jockeys. It shows you how to make one of these things without sacrificing your characters' souls (or your own, for that matter). Dec 17, 2018 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter For the more open-minded, The Quake offers visceral thrills. Dec 15, 2018 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Andersen shows he's assertively capable of staging scenes of mass-destruction on a relatively minimal budget... with thrilling aplomb. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 26, 2020 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See It's tense and thrilling, epic and terrifying, and delivers spectacle level action and deeply personal stakes. Rated: B+ Jun 30, 2020 Full Review David Lamble Bay Area Reporter The makers of The Quake have to contend with the clichés of natural-disaster movies. They largely succeed, in an emotionally complex drama that should resonate with Californians reeling from months of fires and floods. Jun 1, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Kauã M The film has a different construction than the conventional one expected in this type of film, but when it comes to what needs to happen, it is not as imposing and impressive as it should be and the final act ends up being extremely generic. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review john l The Quake is a hoot! It's very well done. Great special effects. Very good acting. Keeps you in suspense because you care about the characters. And let's face it, Quakes happen. This could happen. Better on TV than in my backyard. See it. Worth it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/02/23 Full Review Tom S Really kind of silly disaster movie that started off as well done human interest but then devolved into typical nonsense. Please foreign film makers you don't have to mimic Hollywood tripe. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review Benjamin H Although less tense and interesting than The Wave, this 2018 sequel is still a recommended watch thanks to solid performances, great character development and some truly impressive effects and moments. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/07/22 Full Review Audience Member The Eikjord Family soap opera continues. The pacing had me falling asleep an hour into the film when I watched it at night & less than an hour when I tried to finish it in the morning & finally suffering though it on watch number 3. Watch with caution... and a pillow. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/05/22 Full Review Audience Member If you are looking for an action packed Earthquake movie don't expect it from this film. However the production value, Time and effort that went into the making of this picture had to have been immense . Quality wise you get an incredible experience overlooking picturesque aerial views of Norways beautiful mountains and city,as well as intense emotional acting performances from each cast member. Other than the unfortunate fact the story doesn't pick up until 1 hour and 12 minutes into the movie. It has a devastating realism that other hollywood productions fail to compare to. By far an extremely impressive foreign film well worth recognition. A must watch at least once. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
