Michael A Is it a documentary? The characters play themselves: the violin maker is really a violin maker in Italy. The violinist is really a world class violinist. It’s beautifully scripted, and photographed so perfectly that, the second time I saw it, I began to doubt if it was really a documentary. The film has the twists and turns of a docudrama, but they’re for real. I want to know more of the back story, but have found very little on the Web. So you decide, and enjoy.
