Most of the characters (except Chelsea and The Ranger) are boring and one dimensional... the rest of the content doesn't do much better, with dumb kills and dumb plot logic... yawn

Didn't commit to making the hate-able characters deaths feel well-deserved or cathartic, yet simultaneously didn't make any of the other characters actually likeable. Still, The Ranger is at least not one of those "dime-a-dozen" sort of movies, there's enough different here to keep me invested for the length of the movie.

Pretty fun ride. I almost want to watch it again to get some of The Ranger's quotes. I think he muttered something about entering and exiting the park through designated paths and it cracked me up. Are there any spoilers possible? We all know what happens when kids go camping in a horror movie. The Ranger does not disappoint.

The Ranger is like many other films, but it definitely has a character all of its own and is very entertaining. I thought it might be a fun-but-standard slasher, and I'm glad to say there was lots more to it than that.
