Bernard and Miss Bianca, two New York City mice, are members of the Rescue Aid Society, an international team that operates beneath the United Nations and comes to the aid of those in need. The Rescuers is a film often forgotten, and it is easy to see why. While the film might not be a total disaster, it simply is bland and sadly wastes some genuine talent from both the animators and the performers.

A Deep Cut Animated Classic. Solidly made all around. It's a suprsingly dark setting and reminds me of like Secret of Nimh. No suprise since Bluth worked on this. The only main issue is the setup is kind of loose, the characters don't have that much depth, and the biggest thing really is the mouse adventure feels seperate from the events of Penny for like 80% of the runtime. It's a pretty basic barebone setup. But it's got charm, solid execution and the characters are likeable. The villian is like a rip off of Cruella DeVille I feel like and is a bit over the top. But other than that there really isn't much else to say. It's something anyone should check out who is a fan of Walt Disney animated films, any voice actors in this, or animation from this time period.

I grew up watching it. It's lovely. The animation is perfect. It's so much fun. I enjoyed it even as an adult, maybe more so, with the added layer of nostalgia. But it's objectively wonderful. And the villain, madam Medusa is priceless
