The Ridiculous Six feels like a collection of rejected sketches stitched together and called a film. The humor leans on the laziest punchlines imaginable, relying on shock value rather than actual wit. And when the jokes don’t land — which is most of the time — the movie doubles down as if repeating the same beat will magically make it funny. The performances are flat across the board, which isn’t surprising considering how little the script gives anyone to work with. Every character is a stereotype, every scene feels recycled, and the pacing drags even though the plot barely exists. It’s a parody without a target, a comedy without timing, and a Western without personality. Visually, the film does nothing to elevate its material. The cinematography feels cheap and uninspired, with wide shots that look like stock footage and close-ups that serve only to highlight awkward line deliveries. The direction seems determined to do the bare minimum at all times. What’s most surprising is how unfunny it all is. Sandler has made bad movies before, but this one doesn’t even try to hide its laziness. It’s the kind of project that feels engineered to fill a contract rather than entertain an audience. And in the end, the film becomes exactly what it appears to be: a hollow, forgettable attempt at humor that never rises above its lowest instincts.
