"You like thunderstorms big boy?!?" The new Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is out and I've been playing it like crazy. One of the major selling points for the game was they brought back the original 16 multi-player maps from Modern Warfare 2, a game that came out back in 2009. Several of these maps are set in Brazil, including one map called, "Rundown," that's a clear nod to 2003's The Rundown that starred Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in one of his early roles and Seann William Scott, hot off American Pie. It reminded me, I haven't seen this movie in ages, so I decided to watch it again... And boy I'm glad I did. Director Peter Berg was able to craft an action adventure comedy in the vein of Romancing the Stone that, for me, fits in a category I call, "movies the deserve a sequel but never got one."

Peter Berg of ‘Friday Night Lights’ directs a jungle action-comedy starring Dwayne Johnson and Sean William-Scott Beck is a bounty hunter who doesn’t use guns and takes any job for the money His latest assignment is picking up his employer’s son Travis Beck finds him in the Amazon jungle and Travis is in a jam; he’s stumbled into a treasure in a hunter’s territory So both Beck and Travis are stuck in the jungle trying to evade the hunter and his hired guns Fun repertoire between Scott and Johnson, fun action scenes yet the whole thing comes off as forgettable

The Rundown, while not as effective or fun as Walking Tall, stands on its own as a quite competent Dwayne Johnson vehicle. It's got action, suspense and some great performances. Christopher Walken is here, too, so that has to count for something! It's a movie The Rock has become known for and it totally deserves a lot of the praise it gets.

The Rock and Seann William Scott work up some nice comic chemistry, but it's the dependably warped Walken who steals the most scenes. The frenetically edited fight sequences will satisfy the blood lust of the target audience.
