Audience Member A great low-key film from Chile that seems in a lot of ways a perfect fit for the Sundance Film Festival. It's a psychological and sometimes tense potrayal of three characters, reminiscent in a way of Roman Polanski's debut "Knife in Water". You can tell there were a lot of improvisations while filming it. Definitely worth checking out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This Chilean film follows the disintegration of a family and friends at a beach house during the Easter holiday. Fueled by drink, drugs, and Marco's alluring and trouble-making new girlfriend, a middle-class family and their guests lose their reserve as rivalries flare and sexual energy erupts between same-sex and mixed partners. At least I didn't fall asleep during this one. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member All the scenes in this movie feels like a folk song: moody, sad and somewhat vague. Even though the acting isn't that good and the script wanders too much, it's a nice effort from chilean director Sebastian Campos. Loved the music by Xaviera & Los Imposibles. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Muy buenas actuaciones Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It was not the alcohol, Andrew. The camera actually was a little disorientating. Beside of that, the storylines don't work out as well as expected. One of the family members appears just at the beginning of the movie and then dissapears for good. The film tries to achieve the DOGMA 95 concept, but it doesn't really look like that, so it doesn't really deliver the best. You have to give it credit for the natural sound, though. That was a really good job. Average, 2.5 stars. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member mmm...kind of bad...film school...
