christopher c. m Sure this is just a cheap right to video movie. But it knows it's nothing but a cheap made for video movie and it owns it. It's not deep or meaningful or have any "social commentary". But it succeeds in what's most important for entertainment. It's entertaining. The story is a bit weak and it's cheesy as hell. But cheesy isn't always as bad as critics want you to believe. It's fun cheese, the good cheese. Plus Billy Zane is always a fun villain. And he's on "Demon Knight" level of fun in this and steals every scene he's in. Sometimes dumb fun is all you need to have a good time. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Half a star because Victor is so crazy good looking. Otherwise, absolute trash! A total waste of the brilliant Temuera Morrison! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/21 Full Review m j All three stars are because it is so bad that it is actually funny. I think Perlman and Zane took the show so they could camp it up. You should also watch with a 10 second fast forward so you can skip all of the fight scenes except the first few seconds and the last few seconds. It is never clear who wins, if anyone, and why. Mathayus, the Scorpion King, has become disillusioned and is a mercenary again. He is hired by the most powerful king in the world to travel thousands of miles to what appears to be Cambodia or Thailand to save an ally of the King who is battling the King's evil brother who hopes to take over the world. Some of the interesting aspects of the battles is that you have what appear to be Romans, Arabs, and Cambodian/Thai armies intermixed, with some elephants thrown in. A redux of the love interest is also evident to those who have seen the other Scorpion king movies. Among the villains (like most things in this movie, sort of) are some you may recognize from WWE and MMA. If you like this genre and have time to kill, there are a few "oh no they didn't" moments that might make it worth it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is rubbish, not only does this movie not follow the original line of scorpion king and the mummy, but it doesn't fit anywhere. the original scorpion king was a movie happening even well before egypt was strong, this one has gunpowder? big b*ll cr*p in my eyes. i started watching hoping for the movie where he battles hard but loses to egypt then ends with going in the desert.... instead i get a "hercules" wash off that shits on it's predecessors. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review kevin c The Scorpion King, now played by Victor Webster, is essentially a mercenary for hire as he is tasked to rescue the daughter of a king played by Ron Perlman, from an evil tyrant played by Billy Zane. Typical swordplay and action sequences. Not much here that will be memorable. Dave Bautista has a small role in this as well. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Our stand in Scorpion King certainly does not have the presence of The Rock, but the franchise finally finds its place in the world: Being fucking ridiculous. I mean, what a cast! And those awful one-liners? Delivered with such enthusiasm, and after almost every strike! Incredible. William Bibbiani CraveOnline One of the heroes accidentally pees on a ninja. If that's not a glowing endorsement I don't know what is. Rated: 7/10 Aug 22, 2012 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Original star The Rock is long gone, of course, and so too is the rollicking tongue-in-cheek silliness of the Mummy movies: the humour here is as lumbering as the war elephants that feature in the equally heavy-footed battle scenes. Feb 27, 2012 Full Review R.L. Shaffer IGN DVD A complete waste of time and talent, The Scorpion King 3 is a cheap, poorly made cash-grab with little action, little story and nothing interesting to offer. Rated: 2/10 Jan 29, 2012 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures for all the warts it has, The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption is surprisingly fun Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews
