Joel Fisher Battle Royale With Cheese The careful and deliberate mismatch of genres seems to work rather well in the end. Although it may get a bit heavy for those less interested in centuries old theatre, those who love it will embrace it wholeheartedly. Dec 7, 2022 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times This film is a tremendous example of the fluid nature of creativity as it applies to performance arts. There have been many adaptations of “Macbeth” set in modern times, and most are quite good, offering a testament to its universal staying power. Rated: 5/5 Dec 7, 2022 Full Review Bob Bloom Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN) Theater buffs and devotees of Shakespeare will embrace this small and delightful feature. Trust me when I say that his “Scottish Play” is no tragedy. Rated: 3.5/4 Nov 25, 2022 Full Review Tony Asankomah GhMovieFreak Writer and director Keith Boynton brings to fruition this creative vision in the best of ways. It is hearty and entertaining but also does well at paying reverence to Shakespeare’s legend. Rated: 6.5/10 Nov 22, 2022 Full Review Abhishek Sharma Film Threat A love letter to Shakespeare while creating a change to his works' true meaning. Rated: 7.5/10 Nov 21, 2022 Full Review Federico Furzan Movie-Blogger.com The Scottish Play is one of those relatively small films you can’t help but feel connected with. It looks very, very good. Its leads are incredibly charismatic, and its main storyline is quite interesting. Rated: 3.4/5 Nov 17, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Jonathan G I loved it! A small film - in the best way - intimate, and relatable, it is carried by it's spectacular cast, particularly Will Brill (magical as The Bard), Tina Benko and Peter Mark Kendall. But perhaps most remarkable is the masterful job of writer/director Keith Boynton, effortlessly weaving the natural with the supernatural, as he does standard speech with iambic pentameter. The florid, grandiloquent use of language in this film is a show unto itself. Why did this film not win some awards?? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Darden L Haven't done Shakespeare in a theatre for over forty years. My memories came rushing back watching this refreshing new adaptation about Macbeth. Love listening to iambic pentameter. :~) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/19/23 Full Review Michele C. H This was a joy to watch. It will make you fall in love with the language. The story, actors, and direction are delightful. It's so much fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
