From critically acclaimed writer-director Andrew de Burgh ("The Bestowal") comes an origin story of a new horror villain. In modern-day Los Angeles, Rocio Scotto (Blumhouse's "AfrAId") stars as Zara Pereira, a struggling Hollywood actress stuck in a miserable marriage with psychopathic salesman Robert (Jason Faunt, "Power Rangers"). After they host a dinner party with their friends Derek Patel (Raj Jawa, "Free Guy") and Maya Valentina (Kylie Rohrer, "I Joined a Cult") that goes horribly wrong, Zara's new persona "The Seductress from Hell" is born. Summoning the power of Satan, she sets out on a mission to seduce, torture and murder the people she deems responsible for how her life turned out. With a film producer smitten by her (James Hyde, Netflix's "Monarca") and an unhinged cop on her tail (Andy Lauer, "Screamers"), can she be stopped before she becomes an immortal supervillain?

Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness While it’s rich in ideas and atmosphere, the end result doesn’t feel like the justified rage of Medea upon an Argonaut, but a surface-level depiction of various tropes gathered together to excuse the bloodletting. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 12, 2024 Full Review Martin Carr martincarr.co.uk The Seductress from Hell lacks the courage of its convictions and wastes an intriguing premise by undermining any initial tension. Preferring instead to focus on social commentary and water down horrific elements, which is what audiences really wanted. Jun 9, 2024 Full Review Jim Schembri jimschembri.com It’s a deliciously demented premise and Scotto does a very good job as Zara arcs from being a sheepish, put-upon victim to a murderous, decidedly misandrist predator. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 1, 2024 Full Review Terry Sherwood Film Threat The Seductress from Hell is a lesson in taking recycling to an extreme. Rated: 7/10 May 14, 2024 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective So what's the problem? In a nutshell, it's this: The Seductress From Hell spells out a lot of things we could assume, glean or accept quite readily without being told, whilst dodging some of the key details which we could really do with knowing. Rated: D May 11, 2024 Full Review Tony Asankomah GhMovieFreak While it may require some effort to sit through, particularly for those unaccustomed to dialogue-heavy narratives, it offers a spine-chilling and thought-provoking exploration of the human psyche Rated: 6/10 Apr 19, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
