A nice heist movie with an interesting story and a good cast. Sadly, the movie is mostly ruined by the worst soundtrack I have ever heard; the theme song, which is virtually playing for the entirety of the movie, is constantly interrupted by the most cartoonish "BOING" sound one could imagine. I have no idea who is responsible for this abuse, but it is actually ruining the entire movie experience.

A great gangster film with three heavy weights of French cinema, Jean Gabin, Alain Delon and Lino Ventura. And Ennio Morricone's music elevates every movie.

Delon is irrepressibly watchable (easy on the eyes, and so casually comfortable on camera) that the goofiness of the various heists hardly matter. Also, the bleak and violent ending is a welcome surprise.

A magnificent film from the Euro-Gangster Era, the story is solid and rather well developed. The cast is great and the acting is really fresh, as a plus we have another masterpiece soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.
