The big-screen Simpsons are mildly entertaining, but too much of this is as flabby as Homer's belly. Go to Full Review

There were plenty of decent jokes, but I've already forgotten most of them; I suspect within a month's time I'll be hard pressed to recall much about the movie at all beyond a vague sense of disappointment. Go to Full Review

It's very well written and, as I say, it's consistently funny. Go to Full Review

In its long-awaited moment in the limelight, the film can't manage to present itself as much more than a couple of regular episodes tied together. Go to Full Review

I'm not sure if this film will draw that many new fans, but the millions who can't get enough of Homer, Bart, Marge, Maggie and Lisa in first-run or syndication will surely be pleased with this latest venture. Go to Full Review

This is not a movie so much as a series of loosely connected punchlines. Go to Full Review

Ace1996 H @Seanathon 12h The simpsons movie is a good classic movie. I was 11 when this came out & never really watched the simpsons before. Watching this movie for the first time got me into the show & some of the videegames to. Just rewatched it with my girlfriend & it was still as funny as I remeber. This was her first watch of the simpsons as well & she really enjoyed it. See more Lincoln R Jan 11 It’s honestly so good, don’t know why they can’t make the show like this anymore. See more Matteo Q @Matteo59 Jan 8 Animazione e trama eccellenti See more Blu B Jan 8 An Animated Comedy Classic. You know I've really never seen the show and know very little. And one of the biggest things this had to overcome was for someone who knows nothing about the Simpsons can they still follow it and get into it. And arguably the biggest accomplishment here is how yeah it does assume you've seen the show for supporting characters and the getting the world and all. But you can still get a simple core enough idea for each of the family members characters and all. Bart and Homers relationship, Marge is the brains of the operation, Lisa is the proactive political kid, etc. The other thing is the plot setup is just ridiuclous and it fully embraces that. I can kind of take away from this too what the core elements of the show are too. Satire, very clever fast ZAZ type Airplane! comedic pacing, and likeable characters. You can see how it inspired other shows that have followed in the decades after. But it finds very clever ways that makes sense in See more Christopher L @Mongooseman Jan 1 Some off the wall gags and great animation, but just not the same wit as some of the best episodes of the first ten seasons. It has too much of the ‘oh Homer hurt himself’ slapstick of the later seasons that doesn’t land most of the time. Still, it takes chances and some fun risqué humor that would drive cancel culture up the wall in modern times (a good thing!). See more David S Dec 25 Still funny and why can't they make this!!! A bit of a thin plot, and a lot of crazy stuff, helps this film stand out. It's funny, full of heart, and the gags are some of the best in the series!! It's crazy, but fun and I love this one!!!
