Luis M. D 11/24/2023 This is really a good movie. Its tone is dark, suspenseful, with elements of both a neo-noir thriller and a touching, thought-provoking melodrama. The whodunnit mystery is doubtlessly well constructed. Not everything is perfect though. The central premise–that RNA technology could be used to transfer the soul and past experiences from one person to another–doesn't seem plausible at all. Nonetheless, one may still praise the brilliant performances, effective narrative and the magnificent sci-fi cinematography. The ending is certainly intriguing and open to interpretation. Watching this Taiwanese movie is definitely a rewarding experience. See more Glenn S 09/22/2023 Great movie. Very thought provoking. A little faggy at the end but I guess it was in the story. Amazing work. Makes the shit produced by holewood look and smell like the garbage it is, See more 05/05/2022 The film is almost a gem since the original plot and modified script are so rich; casting is in place, and the cast's performance draws the spectator into the story. Scene design, art, photography, editing, and original sound all deserve Golden Horse nominations since they provide complete immersion. Although the transition from fantasy to science fiction is a little stiff, the overall fault is not obscured, and the surprise is felt. See more 04/21/2021 Excellent poignant such a great movie. Deeply touching and a good mystery. Genre is partially science fiction as it takes place in the future. See more 04/18/2021 Very original and compelling movie, with a particularly good acting. It fits to patient and attentive viewers. Yet maybe it is not the kind of movie that people who look for entertainment will enjoy. See more Read all reviews
