Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com All promise and little follow-through, “The Sound” prepares viewers for action scenes that are eventually too broken up, both visually and dramatically, by underwhelming anecdotes and overcompensating lingo. Rated: 1/4 Jun 27, 2025 Full Review Nicholas Bell Fish Jelly Films (YouTube) A film meant to be turned down or turned off, The Sound is nothing more than a montonous background noise when it isn't scraping its crude supernatural narrative over an unremarkable precipice, both literally and figuratively. Rated: .5/5 Jul 2, 2025 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots By the halfway point, it’s clear the film has no story to tell. It’s an overly long chore of bad green screen climbing shots and endless close-ups of terrified faces. Jun 30, 2025 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X A climber's horror movie. Rated: B- Jun 30, 2025 Full Review MontiLee Stormer MovieReelist.com There isn’t enough story to pad out the climbing, and the characters were just a little too two-dimensional to tell apart. This isn’t a reflection of the actors, but without meaty material, emotions felt too superficial to climb a rock that massive. Rated: 2.5 Jun 28, 2025 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue For a movie aimed at thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies, this eye-rolling thriller emphasizes tedious exposition over nail-biting action. Greg P The movie just lacked any real connection to the characters to make you care enough about their fates. The story didnt give enough attention to detail to draw you in. It was a hard watch do not recommend. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review tm11999 M ummmmm, there is no sound, the indians and the climbers don't know what they're talking about. the CIA could just land on top of the mountain and collect the "evil" power rock. i don't know what this was about but the girls are appealing in their mid-ness so......watch or don't watch? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/02/25 Full Review Stuart R I couldn’t believe how void of anything this movie was with such an intriguing and promising premise. The movie looked like it was made with a few bucks and we either got the most cliché scenes in the crappiest way possible, or nothing at all.🍀 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Stephen C Success in 1 hour and 44 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated R for Language and Some Violence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review A B flaws are irrelevant, and that's a fact. The idea of the movie is interesting and the atmosphere is mysterious and interesting. Don't listen to the critics, listen to what your heart tells you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Read all reviews
