Audience Member Here france teaches us our religion. On the other hand, when it comes to holocaust or anything against the govt authorities, they become insane to shut that, but it's very much permissible to often do blasphemy to humiliate our religion with the support of their own govt legislation. That's their so-called freedom of expression. 🤮 Also, these racists and hypocrites butcher the Africans (BLACK ethnicity) as their slaves. Loot & excavate their property, gold, diamond, crude petroleum, mineral resources all like hereditary property. lmao Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The writer clearly sees the nuance of human emotion too subtle for the other "critics" on this page to appreciate. This film clearly conveys a message about several forms of cognitive bias, rarely portrayed in modern film. Women exist separately and are not the slaves to men. Not enough of this message to people. It is important to penetrate the collective psyche with this message. Well done. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I am not the kind who usually posts a movie review .This one however compelled me to share it.I am so glad to have finally watched this amazing film. This has something for every woman in this world. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Just watched this on Film 1 Spotlight channel. "La source des femmes" is a beautiful portrait of Moroccan women fighting for their equal rights in a strongly patriarchal society of a village in Morocco. An emancipatory journey, the film that was premiéred in Cannes (2011) makes a case for interpreting Islam and the Koran in the light of societal progress, questioning tradition and religious teachings, and even saying NO to salafism (and presumably fundamentalism for that matter), which corrupts the Muslim societies all over the world. Even if you haven't been in Morocco, this film will give you an honest, non-judgmental glimpse into the life of rural-traditional Muslims in North Africa. The actors did a justice to the plot and the positive message they delivered is worth a moment of reflection or, hopefully, constructive discussion.
