Scott Clark Starburst A film like The Spiritual Boxer, though not as instantly recognisable as Five Deadly Venoms or Eight Diagram Pole Fighter, is still well worth checking out. Rated: 8/10 Jul 27, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A comedy farce conman plot disguised as a kung-fu flick, The Spiritual Boxer (Or the Shadow Boxer, or The Naked Fists of Terror) is an interesting film, and the first from famous Hong Kong director, Liu Chia-Liang. Though a little long, with odd, meandering pacing, the movie manages to be an impressive martial arts thrill ride, in addition to a story about an unscrupulous con artist, predating even movies like Drunken Master. Worth your time if you're a Liu Chia-Liang fan! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
