As life-long SpongeBob fans, my wife and I had a ton of fun with Search for Squarepants. So cute and heartfelt, and had a lot of early SpongeBob charm mixed with the newer style.

there were a lot of repeating jokes, especially with butts and undies, the writing didn't seem to respect the intelligence of kids and had to explain most jokes, and it felt that it couldn't leave a second without noise and kept trying to be funny which came off as more annoying than funny, this movie is good for kids below 4th grade but above it they'll probably start to find the jokes as annoying as it is for adults, but nonetheless I laughed more in this movie than all other movies that came out in theaters this year, and despite being a low bar it was still funny, so I would recommend this for a family watch and a great way to kill time after a family dinner
