Bobby LePire Film Threat Giorgio proves his mettle as a director, despite the logical lapses in the script, as The Stalker is an engrossing, eerie affair. I greatly look forward to his next project, especially if the writing is up to snuff. Oct 14, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Gabriel G I loved this throwback to 80's slasher films. The killer's POV shots were very well done and were quite unnerving. The music was spot on. Honestly, I don't think the film would've worked as well as it does without it. This who'd done it keeps you at the edge of your seat and always guessing as to who the killer could be, and you feel for the characters - especially the parents. The movie is extremely well paced, that's for sure. It is very well directed and edited, and the actor the plays the stalker is great. Stay for the credits - there's a little sequence there worth seeing. A really fun movie. Worth the watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Jeff S I loved the way this was shot. The cinematography always kept me on edge, never giving you a chance to relax - it kept me feeling tense at all times. By the time I got to the climax of the film, I felt stressed out and kind of relieved that I knew who the stalker was. Matthew Ewald was fantastic as Officer Kingsley - he bounced back and forth between charming and creepy, and kept me guessing the whole film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/28/24 Full Review Anne-Laure M The Stalker is an excellent thriller that offers an original storyline on a delicate subject of which more and more people are victims, in particular women. The relationship between the main characters (played by Chad Ayers and Virginia Vogt) is very convincing, as is the one with Matthew Ewald. Right up until the end the viewer wonders when the big bad wolf will come out of his den and who he is among all these nutcases harassing poor Wendy. Congratulations to the casting director for finding such great actors! In addition, I'd like to highlight the music chosen to accompany the story, which is beautiful and always in harmony with the situation. The lesson to be learned from all this: when you intentionally hurt someone for personal satisfaction, be prepared to suffer the consequences. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review kyle s The Stalker is one of those moves that will stay in your head long after you've seen it. This is highly effective filmmaking. At the start of the movie, you aren't sure exactly what the motive of the stalker is, and it keeps you glued to the screen. The writing, directing, and editing are all superb, and the movie creates a world of suspense, terror, and just a general unsettling feeling. The actors all did a great job, you could really feel this family unraveling as the movie went along. I also really liked the locations that were closed for this film, including a really interesting lake and house. Check out this film! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review David T The Score, the Point-of-View Shots, the unexpected plot twists - all work together seamlessly to create a fun horror flick that pays homage to the slasher films of the 80's. Director John Giorgio does a great job of bringing the screenplay - written by Jimmy Lewis and Michelle Lewis - to the screen. His stylistic techniques and choices work well to bring this throwback film to life. The pacing is great, and the plot twists keep the viewer engaged and guessing at what will happen next. The 80's slasher vibe, combined with a fun score and compelling character, make this a must-see film for anyone who loves a good horror flick! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Rick I Perfectly Adequate First Feature Attempt Right away this film is making every attempt to make you feel uneasy. POV shots, slightly crooked framing, and a morally ambiguous cast of characters set the tone right away. It turns into a bit of a mystery about who might be stalking this family as they are seemingly magnets for creepy weirdos. It could be any one of them! It feels like some scenes may be missing in the opening act to get us familiar with who we're dealing with, and there are a few loose ends that never quite get tied up (pun intended). But at the end of the day if you're looking for something unsettling that comes in at an hour, you could do much worse. The cinematography is well done (some nice drone footage adds to the production value), they don't shy way from the violence and gore, and it looks like a part 2 may be close to coming out. It's enough to bring me back to discover where this story might take us. Nice one! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/28/22 Full Review Read all reviews
