Synopsis
Just a few weeks before elections, the outgoing president of the French Republic, Jean-François Vanier, is at his lowest in the polls. As the leader of the most powerful right wing party, he tries to find a popular figurehead who can save his campaign. He decides to court Robert Bergman, a left wing politician and an iconic figure of French politics, who has retired to a small village in Gers, a region in the southwest of France.
