Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald It won’t be everyone’s cup of historical parable, but there’s an elemental purity to this replanted Dutchman’s work. Rated: 4/5 May 4, 2023 Full Review Luke Buckmaster Guardian It’s richly meditative and burrows in deep. Rated: 4/5 May 3, 2023 Full Review Valerie Complex Deadline Hollywood Daily There is nothing for me to learn from "The Survival of Kindness." Mar 15, 2023 Full Review William Stottor Loud and Clear Reviews Rolf de Heer’s The Survival of Kindness is a minimalist marvel and a highly absorbing experience, despite its struggles to say anything fresh. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 3, 2024 Full Review Nadine Whitney The Curb The Survival of Kindness pushes narrative boundaries, and the pitiless nature of the visual and psychological journey is punishing. Rated: 3/5 Dec 18, 2023 Full Review Sarah Ward Concrete Playground Not merely because the title says so, Hussein's is a face of kindness, giving the movie a warm and lively focal point amid its rampant suffering and atrocities. PX C Just was not good. Not wll performed, not well written, and assumed from the start. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Stephen C Success in 1 hour and 36 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/08/25 Full Review A M This movie comes across as a pre determination of colonisation. The Titles are written in Muslim orientated countries. Eg, in Hebrew (pre Islamic text) means’ "to split, cleave, break open, divide, break through, rip up, break up, tear".. I find this movie to be offensive to the indigenous peoples of this country. How this was allowed is beyond comprehension! Absolutely disgraceful from Rolf De Heer- Dutch-Australian film director, that had so many decent movies behind him. The motives behind this film are questionable to say the least! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review A C One star, credit to the camera department and main actor. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/01/24 Full Review Genevieve M Incredible reflection of today's society. Compellingly depressing!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review Read all reviews
