Cath Clarke Guardian Tilston's performance gives it a level of watchability and her modern folk songs about love and payday loans are brilliant. Rated: 3/5 Sep 22, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Mark W Written, directed and starring folk singer Martha Tilston, The Tape is a worthwhile watch for her wonderful songs alone. For a debut film on a tight budget, it's admirable if a tad predictable. The best of the dialogue is excellent but it lacks the poetry of her songs in places. It's imperative that Tilston gets another film. This is charming and worthy Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Audience Member Not for me, bland and predictable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Andrew K A fairly predictable run-of-the-mill feel-good romance elevated massively by Martha Tilston's superb songwriting, playing and singing - worth it for that and the setting on Cornwall's coast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Daniel B This is fantastic. We really loved it. One of those movies that move your emotions so deeply. Well worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review alexis f I did not expect anything from this movie and have no idea why amongst everything thats available, I clicked on this but I'm glad I did. What a lovely peaceful way to spend a couple hours. I really enjoyed this film. All feels well in my world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Yvette Perfect, feelgood movie, it really draws you in. So original, so Martha, I've loved her music for years and she's really captured everything she stands for and against in this film. It makes you feel you can take on the world. The soundtrack is also amazing - obviously, as she is an amazing musician! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
