Matt Brunson Film Frenzy The background is far more compelling than the forefront in The Things We've Seen. Rated: 2/4 Jul 24, 2019 Full Review Loren King AWFJ.org Tre Manchester's The Things We've Seen, mixes elements of thriller, noir and melodrama, which is pretty ambitious for a film with obvious budget constraints. Apr 4, 2019 Full Review Daniel Eagan Film Legacy Clammy and claustrophobic, The Things We've Seen can build an effective mood as its characters struggle with problems. Even with a small budget, determined filmmakers can accomplish something worthwhile. Mar 15, 2019 Full Review Jonathan W. Hickman Daily Film Fix "The Things We've Seen," which had to have been made on a budget less than the craft services line item on an average Hollywood film, is an undeniable celebration of the independent spirit. Jacob P The worst film with the worst screenplay I've ever seen. Why did they set the mill on fire? We'll never know. Why did he let his brother die from his festering gunshot wounds days (or weeks?) later instead of taking him to the hospital? Because… jail scary? It only gets worse from there. The other elements of this movie cannot possibly make up for this abysmal screenplay, but let me tell you about those anyways. The acting is very over the top, directing is trash, production is fine and as expected from a low budget indie. This movie is just so awful.
