It isn't the most surprising time-travel movie, but a satisfying story and plenty of entertaining action make The Tomorrow War well worth a watch.

Roxana Hadadi Polygon Narratively padded and visually overstuffed with CGI, The Tomorrow War plays out like Starship Troopers drained of Paul Verhoeven's subversive satire. TheCmcrobb G Slow to start, but when the movie picks up, it gets really good! That one kid in his Biology class cracked me up in the second half because they needed him because he’s a volcanic expert, and the line that got me was “Click! Laptop”. Best line ever. In my opinion, one of my favorite alien/zombie/vampire movies of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review Peter O Really excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Dad-child relationship hits the emotional strings perfectly. Recommend it highly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Tanna G I don’t understand how people hate on this movie other than Chris Pratts bland acting lol beautiful script and great dialogue Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Fernando D Okay, not that bad of a movie to kill time but the plot makes no sense, why recruit civilians? Why get people from the past? Why not go back directly to when it all started and prevented it? They wasted people just because the couldn’t think of that since the very beggars, like “oh I can’t time travel, why not go back before it all starts to stop the war? 🤔” Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/25 Full Review christopher l Probably the worst big block buster movie ive ever seen, the plot is so so stupid, every single detail of the plot is ridiculous, you dont even need to take 5 seconds to think about it, its just bad and no amount of good casting can save this mess Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/25 Full Review Nikki M It was so terrific to watch a movie and actually be entertained. - The Art of Storytelling - (it's back in this movie - let's hope it stays) A unique storyline, and a refreshing presentation focused on simple entertainment with action that is not overdone, and is full of subtle humor. (with actual - likable characters) - and good chemistry between the characters - (also not overdone ... but rather chemistry that appears effortless) ... This movie just could be for you - it was for me. ** HOW REFRESHING - a movie that DID NOT try to lecture me! A movie that DID NOT drive an agenda!. It was just fun to watch! I've watched it three times now, simply because I just wanted to be entertained. I found many of the characters endearing. The subtle humor was entertaining and didn't make me roll my eyes ... I caught myself actually smiling during the movie, and it was not necessary to explain the background of characters relationships - it gave the audience credit for understanding character histories, simply by the dialogue and the on-screen chemistry that the actors gave back to the audience. It was nice to have the filmmakers - NOT insult it's audience by trying to be something more than it was ... A fun, action movie, with subtle humor, endearing characters, with a unique storyline & perspective. I felt "FINALLY, A FILM I CAN WATCH STRICTLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT" I also thought it had a terrific ending. It could have ended about 10 minutes sooner, but then there was a pleasant surprise, an actual ending to a movie, that tied everything up leaving me satisfied and entertained without frustration. But it also did not drag on in an unnecessary way - how satisfying. I would love to see more movies like this being made, perhaps one day writers, directors and studios will go back to focusing on entertainment, for the sake of entertainment & sorry telling ... Understanding that audiences are craving entertainment without agenda driven motives to lectures audience ... And to understand that audiences don't always need, nor want necessarily, huge blockbusters to try to create franchises that leave us "excited" in anticipation, to see the conclusion or continuation of the story that won't go into production for another year or two after you leave the theater ... Not that I don't appreciate some of those, but not all storytelling is about that. Sometimes, we want - Just a movie - The Art of Storytelling - that's unique, & not insulting to the audience ... and allows the synergy and the chemistry of the on-screen cast to tell a story from beginning to end that entertains you. Thank you. If you're looking for a powerful life-changing film, this is not it. If you're looking for a movie that explains every detail, this is not it. If you're someone who watches a movie and is dissatisfied with the scientific explanation about time travel and how impractical time travel is - this is not a movie for you - THIS MOVIE IS PRETEND. --- It's imagination, it's not based in reality and doesn't try to be. If you understand that time travel does not actually exist and you can accept that, you might find yourself enjoying the creative storyline. - If you want a light-hearted, unique film, with endearing characters, subtle humor, substance, action ... (I'm not talking John Wick style action ) ... But action mixed with subtle humor that is not over-done ... This movie should be one you thoroughly enjoy.
