What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Trip to Spain offers more of the same scenery, food, and conversation that filled Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon's first two Trips -- which is to say, more of a good thing.

Under the direction of Michael Winterbottom and the exquisite cinematography of James Clarke, a sense of place is not something The Trip lacks. It is just as impressive, however, that this mixture of inspired improvisation and deliberate writing. Go to Full Review

Coogan and Brydon ... begin to grate, and come off as obnoxious, both to themselves and to the patrons around them, who hopefully got comped for their meals. Go to Full Review

The two come off as fairly egotistical. When they dine with others no one else can get a word in. It makes the conversation boring. See more John B 10/28/2023 Didn't really enjoy this one as it seemed like kind of a dull road trip, but the food portion was about the only enjoyable part. See more Gareth v 06/21/2023 Not as strong as the previous two movies. It's still a solid effort that does and should rely on the genuine warmth these two actors have for each other.
