Audience Member I LOVED this - the music, the nostalgia, ...it only fuelled my love for the time period and my regret that I wasn't alive when it was all happening. I will make it to the Troubadour one day!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member *** (out of four) An enjoyable and loving look at the influence and talent that emerged from the world famous Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood. It focuses on several notable musicians, but mostly targets James Taylor and Carole King. The documenatry works best as a celebration of the talent and it helps a lot if you are fans of those connected to the place. Luckily I am, so I was excited to hear the songs and see the performances. I wished it would have spent a little more time on the club owner and his strange behavior. But the interviews by the likes of James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Steve Martin, Cheech and Chong, and tons more is a wonderful piece of music history. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member http://filmreviewsnsuch.blogspot.com/ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Fine documentary recounting the hey-day of LA's Troubadour club and the wealth of music coming out of it, highlighted by the rise of folk-pop singer-songwriters like Carole King, James Taylor, and Jackson Browne. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Compelled me to dig out my old Carol King and Joni Mitchell albums. Required viewing for fans of the 70's singer/songwriter era. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome documentary, music was a highlight, so many gifted artist came out from the Troubadour in the late 60's and early 70's, a great look at the Los Angeles music scene from that era Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
