At every moment, I was holding my breath and waiting for this film to become treacle, just absolute cotton candy. To the credit of director Martin Krejcí and writer Olivia Dufault: they take some time choices. They don't sugarcoat everything.

I thought it was good overall and an interesting story, but I just felt that they could have done more with it. Some of the stuff didn't really add up, like burning down the carnival & having that guy chasing him throughout the whole movie. Good ending where he finds his family & grandfather to talk to about his situation.
